Chocolate Pomegranate bar
Ingredients
- 10 ounces dark cacao (chocolate) chips (70% or more cacao)
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ½ cup crushed walnuts
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 – 2 cups pomegranate seeds (to your taste)
- coconut to sprinkle (optional)
Note – it is best to use organic ingredients if possible.
Directions
- Stir the cacao chips and coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat until the mixture is melted
- Add the maple syrup and stir to combine
- Add crushed walnuts and cinnamon. Stir to combine
- Spread an even layer of chocolate mix on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Press the pomegranate seeds firmly into the chocolate
- Sprinkle with coconut
- Place in freezer for at least 30 minutes
