WHAT’S IN IT
10 ounces dark cacao (chocolate) chips (70% or more cacao)
¼ cup coconut oil
¼ cup pure maple syrup
½ cup crushed walnuts
1 t ground cinnamon
1 – 2 cups pomegranate seeds (to your taste)
coconut to sprinkle (optional)
Note – it is best to use organic ingredients if possible.
HOW TO MAKE IT
Stir the cacao chips and coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat until the mixture is melted
Add the maple syrup and stir to combine
Add crushed walnuts and cinnamon. Stir to combine
Spread an even layer of chocolate mix on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Press the pomegranate seeds firmly into the chocolate
Sprinkle with coconut (if using)
Place in freezer for at least 30 minutes
Break into pieces to serve, or remove the chocolate from freezer after 20 minutes and cut into pieces with a pizza cutter, then return to freezer to fully freeze.
